Megan Ellis, principal teacher leading an adult tap dance class in Melbourne

Meet Megan‍ ‍

Your tap teacher, hype woman, and the one who has been exactly where you are right now.

I didn’t grow up dancing. I started as an adult beginner, which means I know exactly what it feels like to stand in a studio for the first time with no idea what your feet are supposed to be doing, and to wonder if you're ever going to get it.

You will get it, but not all at once. The steps that feel impossible in week one start to make sense by week three, and by the end you'll have done things you didn't think you were capable of when you walked in.

My job is to break it down until it clicks. And to be genuinely delighted when it does, because that moment is what this is all for.

If you’ve been hovering on the edge of trying this, consider this your sign.
