Tap dance classes for adults. Every level.
Already got some dance experience and want to take it further? You're in the right place.
Never danced before? The beginners classes are the place to start.
You've danced before. Let's pick it up from here.
Maybe it was part of life years ago and life got in the way.
Maybe you've been thinking about coming back for longer than you'd like to admit.
Either way, you're here now, and that's the part that counts.
These classes are for adults who've danced before and are ready to get back on the floor, or push further than they have before.
Real technique. Real progress.
At whatever pace makes sense for where you are right now.
These classes are for you if:
You've got some experience under your belt (at least 12 months) and you're ready to use it again.
You want classes where the technique is real and the progression is real.
You like being pushed, even when it's hard. Especially when it's hard.
And you want to be in a room with other adults who feel exactly the same way.

Not sure which level is right for you?
That's a completely reasonable place to be.
The years listed against each level are a guide, only.
Every dancer comes back to tap at a different point, with different things still sitting in the body.
If you're not sure where to start, just get in touch. You'll get an honest answer and land in the right room.
Meet Megan
Your tap teacher, hype woman, and the one pushing you further than you thought you could go.
I started tap dance as an adult beginner. Which means I've also been the person in the room who knows just enough to know how much they don't know yet. That feeling doesn't go away at Level 3 or Level 5. It just looks and feels different.
My job is to help you get past it and keep going.
Real technique. Real feedback. Real progress.
And honestly, it's the part of my job I'd never give up.

Things you’re probably wondering about our adult tap dance classes
-
Once our classes start for the year they just keep going through until early December, we don’t stop for school holidays. The exception to this is our Beginners short courses which run for 6 weeks.
-
Yes please. Bookings ensure we know who is coming, in case there is a last minute change for any reason. If you do happen to forget to book, you can still join in though, just check that the class is running before you turn up.
-
You can, but, because the classes work as a progressive course of learning we add to the repertoire and routines each week. You’ll have a better experience if you can attend on a regular basis, once a week is fine, twice a week is even better.
-
Booking a class is simple, head to the book a class page here and the system will take you through the booking process. You can either pay for single classes (or multiple single classes) or a 10 week pack (offering a 10% discount and make up classes if you need them), which ever suits you best.
-
Wear comfortable exercise gear, preferably with layers…you’ll get pretty warm.
-
Just bring your tap shoes, a bottle of water and you might need a towel if you get a bit sweaty.
-
Yes, at the end of the year we do a studio showcase, every student is welcome to be a part of the showcase but it is not compulsory
